Assessing the auspiciousness of the ears entails examining their size first, followed by considerations of color, texture, shape, and elevation. Subsequently, one may scrutinize each individual region for its portents. In terms of size, larger ears are deemed favorable, while smaller ones are regarded less so. Large ears signify vigor and dynamism, while small ears indicate a delicate constitution during youth, predisposed to tranquility. It is often said, “The ox with large ears does not heed instruction,” conveying the notion that finer ears connote a sense of compliance. The standard method for discerning ear size is to align the helix with the brow and the lobule with the tip of the nose; anything exceeding this is deemed large, as illustrated in figure 4.2, while anything smaller is considered petite.
Coloration:
Ideal ear complexion is characterized by a pristine white hue, followed by a rosy tint, with a reddish hue being acceptable. Grayish tones are deemed unfavorable, while black hues are considered even less desirable (though this is not a concern for individuals with aquiline features).
Grey-tinged ears denote middling fortune and a comparatively frail constitution, indicative of deficient renal vitality. Such individuals often lack enthusiasm in their pursuits, finding themselves lethargic even when opportunities present themselves, thus resulting in diminished achievements throughout their lives. In the realm of physiognomy, the ebony hue adorning one’s ears signifies an underlying weakness in renal vitality, accompanied by frail physical constitution. Such individuals are predisposed to frequent ailments, muddled cogitation, and indecisiveness, thus destined for a life of toil and tribulation.
Conversely, ears adorned with a porcelain tint bespeak commendable mnemonic prowess, robust renal energy, and elevated cognitive faculties. It is said, “With ears as fair as ivory, one’s renown resonates far and wide.” This hue also augurs a life blessed with auspicious fortune, marked by eminence and elevation in status.
A rosy hue gracing the ears denotes a favorable disposition, indicative of exceptional memory, diligent endeavors, and a proactive approach to every task, resulting in resounding achievements.
However, a crimson tint adorning the ears bodes less favorably, often associated with toil yielding scant results. Despite industriousness, accomplishments remain disproportionately elusive, rendering this hue a testament to laborious endeavors fraught with minimal gains.
In matters of texture, firmness supersedes softness when assessing the ears. Analogous to the assessment of size, firmness signifies robust renal vitality, physical vigor, mnemonic prowess, and a resolute demeanor. Contrary, soft ears indicate deficient kidney qi, poor physical strength, forgetfulness, and lack of drive, always being lethargic in actions.
Configuration
In terms of configuration, the ears should have distinct contours. The ear holes should not be too small, and the windscreen should not be too large or too small, as this would meet the requirements of the ear.
Heavenly Wheel
If the top of the ear resembles a cat’s ear, it indicates that the person is estranged from their father, and there is a chance that their father will die by suicide. The person themselves also have a small heart and are prone to ruthless actions. Therefore, when encountering someone with cat-like ears, one must be cautious.
Earthly Wheel
If the earlobe is sharp and pointed, forming a beak-like ear, then the person’s wealth will not accumulate throughout their life. Whenever they amass a certain amount of wealth, they will encounter financial losses. Additionally, such individuals have a penchant for seeking the roots of matters. Aural lobes
They should not protrude outward, but should be enveloped by the cartilage. If the lobes protrude more than the cartilage, they are termed lobes in reverse. Such individuals lack filial piety and exhibit a strong desire to win, often refusing to concede.
Ventilation gates

However, in contemporary society, the landscape differs. Should one’s thoughts be excessively esoteric, they may find it challenging to garner acceptance among the masses, thereby impeding their potential accomplishments.
Yet, ears should not plummet too low either. Should they descend below the tip of the nose, it bespeaks of a lack of profound cogitation. Such individuals are consumed by personal materialism and sensual pleasures, disregarding the plight of the masses, rendering them less palatable to the broader populace. Thus, let the ears be neither too high nor too low, but just right, slightly above the eyebrows and not too much below the level of the nose. One may observe the depiction of the founder of Buddhism, Siddhartha Gautama, where his ears are positioned higher than his brows and lower than his nose. This signifies profound contemplation yet an acute awareness of worldly desires.
The age markers on the ears commence from the left, with the heavenly wheel denoting ages one and two, the human wheel representing ages three to seven, and the earthly wheel representing ages five to seven. The right ear signifies ages eight to fourteen. However, it is noteworthy that for males, the counting starts from the left ear, whereas for females, it commences from the right ear.

III. The Hedonistic Ear
The hedonistic ear is characterized by notably plump earlobes. Those driven by the pursuit of material desires are akin to the finely crafted spokes of a celestial wheel, inconspicuous yet deeply rooted. They prioritize personal gratification over empathizing with others, yet these late-blooming individuals often amass great wealth.

The aforementioned earlobe types each possess distinct characteristics:
The philosophical type – with petite earth wheels and lacking earlobes entirely, these individuals eschew religious convictions, though they may delve into religious philosophy.
The dynamic type – typically featuring moderately flat earth wheels, these individuals exhibit a predisposition towards foreign religions, either through early exposure to foreign religious institutions or a profound fascination with them.

This auricular form signifies progressive ideation and bold demeanor, often guiding actions based on personal predilections. Thus, if born into poverty, these traits may propel one onto the path of success. Conversely, if born into affluence, they are often dubbed as prodigal offspring. Five. The term “chicken-mouthed ears” refers to ears that are pointed and small, resembling the beak of a chicken. Individuals with such characteristics tend to be troublesome, refusing to concede easily, and stubborn in their ways, making it exceedingly difficult to persuade them. It is advisable not to engage in arguments with them. Additionally, the earlobes represent the potential accumulation of wealth, and chicken-mouthed ears, being small and pointed, signify an inability to amass riches.

Cat ears, with their pointed and upward inclination, exemplify this disposition.
Moving on to pig ears:
Pig ears, devoid of wheel or ridge, are flat in shape, resembling thick leaves hanging on either side of the head. They are termed as such due to their resemblance to the flattened, wheel-less ears of a pig.
Individuals possessing such ears often hail from complex familial environments during their youth, devoid of a parental connection. Consequently, their lives are frequently marred by unpleasant incidents encountered during adolescence, prompting a habitual tendency to conceal facts and resort to falsehoods.
